In fact, though their paths have been different, the net performance of the large caps and microcaps since August, 2005 has been equivalent. In line with my earlier article on the EEM emerging markets ETF, we might view the relative performance of IWC and IWB as a kind of sentiment measure. When the microcaps are outperforming the large caps, there is positive speculative sentiment in the market, as we saw during the runup to May. Conversely, when investors are bailing out of the microcaps relative to large caps, as occurred this past summer, relative defensive sentiment prevails. When IWC and IWB are down concurrently, we have a pretty good indication that traders are fleeing equities. Since the introduction of IWC in August, 2005 (N = 332 trading days), that has been a contrary indicator for the microcaps.Specifically, when both IWC and IWB have been up over a five-day period (N = 153), the next five days in IWC have averaged a loss of -.31% (67 up, 86 down).

Restart is Å evčík’s graduating film on FAMU, the famous Prague film school. Due to the low budget, Restart took 8 months only to be completed. The film is worth attention due to it’s visual approach and the quality of editing (the only nomination for the Czech Lion for Best editing). Filip Míšek (member of the music group Khoiba) composed film music and added other songs from the best of electro music scene.

in a companion case involving the same interpretive question but in the Sentencing Guidelines context, the Court dismissed that criminal case in a one-sentence order stating that the writ of certiorari is dismissed as improvidently granted. This outcome yields some uncertainty for those who practice in the Second Circuit, because this Circuit has divergent holdings on this issue depending on whether it arises in the immigration context or the Guidelines context. at 2 and 10, which seems to equate the two contexts), and that (2) the Circuit’s divergent reading of aggravated felony in the two contexts is itself wrong (see footnote 8 of the Supreme Court’s Leocal decision, stating that statutory language must be interpreted consistently, whether we encounter its application in a criminal or noncriminal context), and thus that Lopez requires a ruling that a state possession felony is not an aggravated felony in either context.

-ne I used to be a big proponent of pushing students towards community colleges. Then, about 3 years ago, I realized that pushing kids towards community colleges was pushing kids into doing less. In the end, pushing kids to a community college makes us less accountable as secondary school teachers, putting the pressure on community colleges for students to succeed. The statistics for community college completion rates is astounding.Roughly 15 percent of full-time community college students eventually transfer to a four-year college; According to Community Colleges Chancellor Mark Drummond, 90 percent cant do college math; Many arrive without any idea of what college work requires.Ew….This is another example of expecting little from our students and simply allowing it to continue to happen.

This is an active vacation with lots to see and do, and I much prefer it this way.We had good wind today, so the morning was spent windsurfing. Though Bonaire is well-known as a windsurfing destination, it is more well-known as a Diver’s Paradise.Tomorrow morning we fly back to Aruba, and have enough time for a long lunch at the airport before flying back to Chicago, by way of Charleston.

Betty’s hand was cool and her fingers, though strong, were slender and delicate. But as the tunnel narrowed Max was forced to let her hand slip from his. He slowed briefly and allowed Betty to move ahead a bit in the tight space. Listen to the podcast of The Dark Net, Chapter 7 by robo-reader Audrey. He squinted in passing into a cramped passageway that branched off the main tunnel. Like many of the forks and detours they passed, there was a dim glow far off in the side passage. Faint muffled sounds emerged from others. They were, Max suspected, the comings and goings of other prowlers in the Dark Net - slipping through the myriad back doors scattered about the legitimate Internet. He occasionally heard a bit of hubbub as a distant door opened onto the Web proper. Now and then, he caught a glimpse of a shady figure crossing the tunnel ahead of them. He increasingly had the feeling that they were being watched from the recesses they passed. Max hoped they would not meet anyone up close, and he suspected that other travelers in the Dark Net felt the same about them.Betty turned into a narrow recess. Were here,” she said. Max stepped in close behind her. She pointed to the faint outline of a doorway. An unintelligible hieroglyph marked the center of the door. Betty tapped softly. After a moment, a slot at eye level shot open.Who is it,” a voice squeaked through the opening.”Open up Agatha,” said Betty.”Let me see your faces.”Betty pushed back her hood and Max followed her lead.”Grunding?” asked the squeaky voice. “Herman Grunding.”"Yes,” Max lied.”Youre looking well - Id heard you had gotten into a bit of trouble.””Nothing I couldnt handle.I can see that. What do you want?We need some merchandise, said Betty. Open up.The slot snapped shut. After several moments the door creaked open a scant few inches. Betty squeezed through and Max followed.Agatha was a genteel woman, perhaps fifty or sixty, wearing a light blue dress with lacy white cuffs and a high lace collar. Her sweet smile crinkled the faint crow’s feet at the sides of her twinkling blue eyes. She stood next to a plush paisley rocker set up beside a black velvet curtain. Its nice of you two young folks to stop by,” she said, laying a hand softly on Bettys wrist. We’re not really open for business of course, so you know the rules. It’s cash and carry. No receipts. She scrunched her nose in matronly impishness. And no guarantees, expressed or implied, regardless of what anyone tells you. Just between you and me Herman, there’s a special on phishing supplies at booth five - a free key stroke recorder with all purchases over a hundred dollars. It’s just the thing for collecting those lovely little passwords, very discrete. Thanks Agatha, said Max.The old woman drew the curtain aside and ushered them through with the same sort of gentle insistence that a grandmother might employ in herding children into her kitchen for afternoon cookies. Instead of a painted tin, table heaped with fresh-baked treats, they found themselves at the end of a narrow walkway lined with booths. Each booth was jammed with merchandise.Betty set off down the aisle, paying no attention to the vendors she passed. Max tagged along behind, but fell further and further back as displays on one side or the other caught his eye. It looked at first glance as if all the booths were stocked with essentially the same things

Facing fourth-and-eight from the 23, Coach Jeff Tedford called a perfect play, confusing the Oregon defense and allowing tight end David Gray to work his way free in the middle of the field at the 12. With nothing between Gray and himself, Ayoob threw a pass that landed closer to the goal posts than to Gray. We could still be playing out there if I could complete a 10-yard pass.” Ayoob finished 10 of 26 passing for 88 yards, with three interceptions, but it was not all on him. Two plays later, though, Ayoob’s pass to Jackson was deflected as Jackson jumped to catch a ball that was waist-high. But then Lynch was stuffed for a 7-yard loss on first down, and a second-down shovel pass to Lynch lost another 4. They were in our backfield.” Oregon quarterbacks Dennis Dixon and Brady Leaf combined to complete 24 of 39 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns. But Ayoob’s pass sailed long.

Receiver James Finley caught a four-yard touchdown pass in overtime and the stellar Duck defense held its ground as Oregon beat California 27-20 in the rain and wind at Autzen Stadium, pushing the Ducks to 8-1 on the season. Oregon and Cal (6-3, 3-3) alternated scores, before Oregon went ahead 20-10 in the third quarter on Paul Martinez’s 49-yard field goal and Terrence Whitehead’s 18-yard run, but Cal responded with its own field goal and Marshawn Lynch’s 52-yard field goal setting up the dramatic – Leaf, who didn’t play in the first half, was 9 of 13 for 93 yards and the Finley winning touchdown.  Whitehead had 119 yards rushing and a score, and eight catches for 72 yards. Finley, who had no catches two weeks ago against Arizona, had six catches for 47 yards. Cal had only 301 yards offense, and Lynch had 189 yards himself with two touchdowns; Ayoob, an inaccurate passer, was 10 of 26 for 88 yards, but he suffered some drops.   A 38-yard Whitehead run put the Ducks into position to score first, but the drive stalled with the help of a false start penalty and Martinez’s 37-yard field goal attempt went wide right.   Dixon got hot on the next drive, completing four throws for 61 yards, including a 23-yard dart to Williams for the touchdown with 5:54 left in the first quarter, putting UO up 7-0. Dixon had six consecutive completions, but one went for minus-4 yards on an ill-advised throw and a third-down attempt went behind Whitehead. But an illegal blocking penalty put the ball at the Oregon 41 with 4:47 left, and the Bears moved the ball and tied the game on Tom Schneider’s 21-yard field goal.   Martinez, finally healthy after missing the three previous games (quadriceps), hit a 49-yard field goal early in the second half to put UO ahead 13-10. with Leaf at quarterback — Whitehead scampered 18 yards for the TD, putting Oregon ahead 20-10. The run put Whitehead over 100 yards rushing. Lynch had topped 100 yards by the time he ripped off his 52-yard score.  Williams needs one TD reception to tie the Oregon record of 10 held by three players, and two to set the record.

Leaf finished 9-of-13 passing for 93 yards and a touchdown in relief of Dennis Dixon, who struggled in the game, throwing for 139 yards on 15-of-26 passing for the Ducks (8-1, 5-1 Pac-10), winners of five in a row. Joe Ayoob finished with only 88 yards on 10-of-26 passing with three interceptions, while Lynch was his leading target as he caught three passes for 13 yards. Leaf’s 10-yard pass to Finley kept the drive alive on 3rd-and-2 and Leaf again found Finley three plays later on the four-yard touchdown pass, giving Oregon the 27-20 lead.  California would face a 4th-and-8 on its overtime possession after a two-yard run by Lynch and two incomplete passes by Ayoob, and the quarterback’s pass to David Gray fell incomplete, sealing the win for the Golden Bears.  Martinez’ 29-yard field goal finished a 10-play, 53-yard Duck drive to put Oregon back on top 10-7 less then two minutes into the second quarter, but the Golden Bears would tie the contest again with 44 seconds left in the half after Schneider converted a 21-yard field goal to end a eight-play, 37- yard sequence.

In the third game, my opponent chose to play 4.exf5.Richard Panken (USCF 2048) - Jim West (USCF 2255), USATE 2/15/19971.e4 e5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 f5 4.Nc3 fxe4 This is how Morphy played against 4.Nc3, but 4…exd4 is also possible. If those games had been victories instead of losses, the Noles would be 8-6 in conference play, tied with Boston College for fourth in the ACC, half a game in back of Virginia, and trying on their March Madness dancing shoes. However, what was supposed to be a week-long injury has turned into a two-week nightmare for the Seminoles. In the last five games, including the February 7th game against Clemson, Rich has averaged only 7.4 points per game, far below his season average of 10.5. If the Seminoles are to right their ship and make the NCAA tournament, Rich needs to fill Douglas’s scoring absence.Of the other Seminoles who could fill Douglas’s shoes, most are either too inconsistent (Jerel Allen) or too inexperienced (Casaan Breeden, Uche Echefu, Josue Soto).

Is it tires squealing? Nails on a chalkboard? No… It’s just James Blunt singing Beautiful, probably my most hated song ever (that awful Had a Bad Day song that is forever playing everywhere I go is a close second). But speaking of James Blunt, he was involved in a car accident last night leaving a pre-Oscar party. Apparently some man’s foot got run over, but unfortunately, Blunt’s vocal cords were not injured in the incident. Here’s what else has been happening:- Amanda Peet of Studio 60 and her husband David Benioff welcomed a baby girl, Frances Pen.- Kevin Federline visited Britney Spears in rehab because he was so deeply concerned for her. Since then, K-Fed has shockingly been called a good dude. And that excellent judge of character is…….Jason Alexander, Britney’s first husband of 55 extremely romantic hours.- Anna Nicole Smith might have been a lesbian. She also might have been a transsexual. She may have also believed Tupac is really dead, Tom and Katie consummated the marriage, and live episodes of Will

Murtaz Kvirkvaia, a CRRC fellow, investigated a range of social problems in Georgia. social problems impossible to resolve.Based on his research, the fellow put forth a framework to resolve Georgia’s social problems. Accordingly, Kvirkvaia considers economic liberty as the main factor in economic growth and the best solution to social problems. Economic liberty would enable the government to liberate itself from the necessity of solving economic and social problems that should not fall within its purview.

Review #404 of 365Movie Review of The 2006 Academy Award®-Nominated Animated Short Films (2006)Where Viewed: Starz FilmCenter at the Tivoli, Denver, COWhen 1st Seen: 20 February 2007 Time: 7:55 p.m.Movie Review of Binta and the Great Idea (2006) [NR] 30 minutesSpanish Title: Binta y la gran ideaWIP™ Aminata SaneLess a typical short film than an extended public service announcement for the world peace, harmony, and fair treatment of women, Binta and the Great Idea, written and directed by Javier Fesser and starring Zeynabou Diallo as Binta herself, is brought to the world sponsored by UNICEF. The acting in the film is natural and effective giving a sense that this might really be what a day in a far away rural village in Senegal might be like, and these are actually people that one might meet on a visit. The film’s message is hard to miss, which also promotes a small sense of it being contrived, or, as previously stated, a bit more like a public service announcement than a truly engaging story.Movie Review of Éramos Pocos (2006) [NR] 16 minutesWIP™ The short film entertains and proves that you can have your omelet and eat it too.Movie Review of Helmer & Son (2006) [NR] 13 minutesDanish Title: Helmer & sønWIP™ This short film also relies on a twist derived within the nursing home patient room of a former business executive named Helmer (Per Pallesen). His son (Steen Stig Lommer) is first to arrive, and he gets no where in the convincing process and only ends up convincing his father he made a grave mistake in turning Helmer & Son over to his son. in-fighting, the film, directed by Søren Pilmark, brings a chuckle and grin to those who have faced similar situations in dealing with aging parents. In this Peter Templeman written and directed short film featuring Thom Campbell as Malcolm and David Sommerville as Paul portraying two elders canvassing neighborhoods looking for what they are not to call ‘prospects’, Malcolm turns out to be quite taken with Carmel (Susan Prior) a married woman whom he imagines is in a bad marriage and needs him. Is it wrong to have a fantasy about going down to the local bakery, picking up fresh blue poppy seed baps, putting it in my bicycle’s front basket alongside a bunch of fresh wild flowers, and a slim volume of poetry? (Three years later I would be blinking into the bright lights of a camera saying ‘I never thought I’d win the booker’.)Getting up, a little bit stiff, I’d walk down the path at the end of my garden, taking care on the steps, to the beach for a quick swim. Unfortunately, I am a 30 year old bald, hairy chested, homosexual.Although in some ways I am 30 going on 65.
